At their meeting on Monday, April 9, the Board of Selectmen formally recognized Winchester High School’s state championship wrestling team. The Board presented team members and coaches with commemorative medals acknowledging their undefeated season and state championship.

Athletics are an essential part of the education and development of our children. Teamwork, hard work and fair play are all important lessons for society that sports teaches. Winning a state championship is a tremendous achievement that will be a lasting memory and sense of pride for the team.

The Winchester community is proud of the young men on the wrestling team who achieved so much this year under the direction of head coach Larry Tremblay and Eric Johnson.
Congratulations, gentlemen!
