Memorial Day 2008

On this Memorial Day, Winchester and the entire nation pauses to remember the extreme sacrifices that the men and women in the military made for us. As veterans of World War II pass, we must dedicate ourselves to keeping their memories and the contributions they made for our country alive.

Memorial Day in 2008 is as important as ever with so many young men and women serving in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today, the Town of Winchester will honor those veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice by conducting a parade and memorial services. Soon, the Veterans Honor Roll will be replaced with a larger and more fitting facility.
