Alan Macdonald- Citizen of the Year

Congratulations to Alan Macdonald, Winchester's Citizen of the Year. Alan was honored at a gala event hosted by the Winchester Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday evening, May 16, 2007. Hundreds of Alan's family, friends, colleagues and fellow Winchester citizens attended the event to honor his outstanding contributions to the Winchester community.


Alan has served Winchester for over three decades, including two terms as a Selectman. Recently, he served on the Selectmen's FACTS Committee and the Town Manager Search Committee. He serves on many local boards, including the Winchester Savings Bank and the Winchester Scholarship Committee. He has become a favorite for his coverage of local election results on WinCam.


The Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year award is in its 27th year, having honored outstanding people who have made major contributions to improving the quality of life in Winchester. Congratulations, Alan, and thank you for your service and your class.
